ADIVASI STUDENTS` ASSOCIATION
About
Adivasi Students` Association was established by the few santal students in the year of 1997-98.Mr.Fakir Tudu was the ASA`s Hero to success for founding the organization in Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya. He was to advocacy santal students in various unpredictable issues which ignored well being of santal community, religious and culture. He went on to work in different education , public administration and University authority. Gurupada Saren was also coworker of Fakir Tudu. They convinced to cover all the important factors in the development, modernization and functioning of the organization.
Adivasi Students` Association combines graduate, post graduate and doctorate students of various faculties and works in interest of progress and development of the santal organization. Each santal students , when entry on Adivasi Students` Association automatically becomes its member. In service santal students of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya are also interestingly and externally linked to unique or reflect on adivasi community.
Organization takes care of the santal student rights on regional , national level and community level. It also represents the santal community by providing advocacy , programming and services and promoting the social and academic interests of the santal students body.
Adivasi Students` Association has established connection with various faculties around the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya to enable cooperation in terms of student exchange, research work and participation in various santali conferences. It also participates on cultural, traditional , sports and social welfare pragramme.
